As we go through life, we can encounter unpredictable and difficult challenges that leave us feeling isolated and overwhelmed. It is normal to experience feelings of loss, uncertainty, or even helplessness, at any age. Yet, I strongly believe that within every challenge we face, we can find our way toward hope and healing.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent six years as an early intervention educator for children with special needs, including two years in an inclusive educational setting. I specialized in skills development, covering learning, self-help, and social skills for children with ADHD, ASD, and GDD across both high- and low-functioning levels, while also providing essential support for parents. Through the years in education, I have learned that the progress of children is most effective when parents play an active role in their care. Each child is unique, and I have seen how given a safe space and the right support, they can grow, thrive, and reach their full potential.
As a therapist now, I am moved to help parents and children form healthy, loving relationships. My role is to bridge the gap, supporting both children and parents in fostering understanding and open communication, which strengthens the parent-child connection and creates a nurturing environment where everyone feels heard and valued. I am also committed to equipping children and adolescents with essential skills, such as communication, problem solving, emotional regulation, and coping strategies, while encouraging self-discovery to further support them on their developmental journey.
I hold a Master’s Degree in Counseling from HELP University and have completed training in Brainspotting (Phases 1 & 2), a therapeutic approach that addresses trauma-related challenges. I also incorporate several other therapeutic modalities in my practice, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Brainspotting, Parts Work, Mindfulness, and Systemic Family perspective. On top of that, I am currently focused on expanding my skills in therapeutic play and expressive arts therapy to offer more effective support for children, adolescents, and adults.
I firmly believe that we all have the strength and ability to live positive lives. Whether as children or as parents, we each hold the power to emerge from challenges transformed, making choices that shape a more meaningful future for ourselves and our families. My aim is to walk alongside and support you on your journey.
A bit more about me, I love traveling with my partner and find joy in expressing myself through art, music, and poetry. I use colors and words to capture the depth of emotions and moments, allowing me to explore life’s experiences creatively.
